Auckland Eye Design: A new vision

With declining sales for its retail laser eye surgery offering, post-recession and in a soft and competitive market, Auckland Eye commissioned the marketing team at Acumen Republic to turn around their sales performance.

Post-review of the issues, Acumen recommended launching a new LASIK brand coupled with an assertive retail campaign to grow market share. The creative team at Acumen rose to the challenge, developing a fresh, new brand identity and cutting-edge retail advertising campaign. The developed brand campaign would have to significantly differentiate itself from the parent brand, but fit comfortably into the operations brand culture, and therefore work together. 


ivision was created, developed and brought to life.  A brand that clearly communicated trust, technology prowess, vision, eye health and one that delivered the right brand messages to the right audiences  through its contemporary colour palette and visual devices. 

The brand identity developed at Acumen provided a strong platform to develop a clever retail campaign to take to market, which would meet the competition head-on. Since roll-out, the campaign, communications and deployment activities have grown sales significantly to achieve levels that have exceeded all expectations. Thanks to very smart design, the brand has established itself as a market leader.
