On behalf of the Acumen team, welcome to 2012! We hope you managed to find the best of the weather and, more importantly, had a great break with friends and family.

I'm pleased to report our team's looking refreshed and has wasted no time getting stuck in to a myriad of new projects.

Great timing then, that we are welcoming a few new faces to the team to add to our people-power.

Acumen's Wellington office is a little more crowded with the addition of new designer Jeni Cooper, Events Account Director Nicole Retter and Consulting Account Manager Julian Light.

Jeni has more than 12 years' industry experience with clients including New Zealand Rugby Union, Volunteer Service Abroad and Wellington City Council; Nicole joins us from Positively Wellington Tourism where she orchestrated large-scale complex events like Wellington on a Plate; and Julian joins us from Parliament where he was working as Ministerial Advisor in the Office of Hon Dr Nick Smith.

The Corporate team in Auckland also has a new face - Account Manager Amy O'Rourke. Most recently, Amy has been working with Auckland MP Nikki Kaye.

Not to be outdone, Acumen Sydney has started the year with some exciting new business wins which we will share more of soon. Former Wellington Account Manager, Sarah Buchanan, has relocated to Sydney to support the team's growing client base.

We're all excited about the New Year and the challenges and opportunities you can throw at us!

Happy New Year from all of us at Acumen. May it be a successful one for you.  We hope to be a part of that success.
